Healthy eating can be fun

A little thought and preparation can make your lunch box come to life. Lunch is a key meal each day and should provide you with lots of energy. It is important to fill your child's lunch box with nutritious, delicious food.


A very simple approach to healthy eating is to use the food pyramid. Aim to eat more of the foods at the bottom of the food pyramid. Foods are grouped together depending on their nutrient make-up. To be healthy you should aim to eat some foods from each of the four food groups every day. A good rule of thumb is to have one food from each of the four main groups in your lunch box.


We provide a nutritious hot lunch for only €2 a day.

Menu 1


Monday : CHICKEN AND GRAVY WITH POTATO.

Ingredients - Potato (pepper, butter(milk), chicken, gravy (potato starch, wheat flour, palmoil, maltodextrin, milk(caesin), soya, ammoniacaramel, lecithins, onion, oil)

* Milk, Soya


Tuesday : TURKEY KORMA WITH RICE.

Ingredients - Turkey, onion garlic, chopped tomatos, pepper, courgette, korma paste, coconut milk.


Wednesday : beef lasagne with potato.

Ingredients - Potato,(butter,(milk)), pepper, beef (Irish mince) onion, pea, tomato, tomato paste, herbs, garlic . sauce, milk (caesin) cheese,(milk), corn flour. Lasagne sheets (durum wheat, semolina).

* Durum wheat, gluten, milk, (caesin)


Thursday : SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE .

Ingredients - Beef (mince ), Irish , tomato puree, chopped tomato, onion, pea , garlic, basil. Spaghetti strands (durum wheat, semolina )

Friday : Chicken Curry with Rice.

Ingredients - Chicken , rice , onion, sweet corn ,curry( wheat flour,dried turmeric,dried cumin,dried coriander,dried fenugreek,dried parsly,dried garlic, dried chilli,fennel,basil celery,mustard )

* Wheat, gluten, mustard, celery.

Monday : Cottage pie and potato

Ingredients - Minced beef (Irish), peas, garlic, onion , mixed herbs and gravy  (potato starch , wheat flour, palm oil, maltodextrin, milk(caesin) soya,ammonia caramel, lecithins, onion, oil, Potato (butter (milk),pepper

Tuesday : Chicken Curry with Rice.

Wednesday : beef burger in gravy with potato

Ingredients - Potato , pepper, butter(milk), Beef(irish), gravy (potato starch,wheat flour, amaltodextrin, palm oil, milk(caesin), soya, ammoniacaramel, lecithins, onion, oil)

Thursday : CHILLI CON CARNE WITH RICE

Ingredients - Beef,(minced irish)onion, chilli powder,tomato puree and red kidney beans



Friday : SOY AND HONEY CHICKEN STIRFRY WITH EGG NOODLES

Ingredients - Chicken, honey, soy sauce(water, soybean, salt, wheat flour, citric acid, lactic acid, potassium sorbate) Noodles (wheat, oil, calcium carbonate, niacin salt, sodium carbonate, citric acid, eggs)

Ingredients - chicken (diced), Tagine (tomato paste, lemon juice, oil, pepper flakes, paprika, red chilli puree, cumin, coriander, black pepper, mint, cinnamon, caraway powder.


Wednesday : TEX-MEX CHICKEN STRIPS WITH POTATO

Ingredients - Potato(butter(milk)pepper),chicken strips, spice mix (paprika, cumin, chilli, onion, garlic, oregano, marjoram), cornflour, eggs

Thursday : Turkey curry and rice .

Ingredients - Turkey, rice, sweetcorn, onion, curry (dried turmeric, cumin, coriander, fenugreek, parsley, chilli, garlic, fennel, basil, celery, mustard)
